The 4K Hz and 8K Hz gaming mouse market is booming, and more and more brands like Pulsar, WLMouse, Darmoshark, Lamzu, Lethal Gaming Gear, VGN, VXE and Waizowl have developed a dedicated dongle to let their mice reach their full potential!
How does the 4K / 8K Hz dongle work?
The 4K / 8K dongle lets you enable the highest polling rate available on a compatible mouse! It simply connects via the cable supplied in your mouse's box, over USB, straight into your PC. The recommended usage distance between a mouse and a dongle is around 20 centimetres, so the best solution is to position the dongle as close to the mouse as possible, right at the edge of your mouse pad if you can!
How do I sync my mouse with the 4K / 8K Hz dongle?
If the mouse doesn't connect to the dongle straight away after plugging it in, there are a few possibilities:
Solution 1: launch the mouse's software — the dongle may need a firmware update to work.
Solution 2: most mice have a key combination that lets you "force" the sync, by holding left click, right click and the scroll wheel click at the same time until the mouse flashes a light signal.
There's one exception: on WLMouse mice, the procedure is as follows — press left click, right click and the upper side button simultaneously.
Solution 3: if neither of the previous options works, the manual supplied with the dongle or the mouse usually sets out the sync procedure to follow.
